River as Classroom Professional Development Workshop: “Climate, Carbon, and Environmental Justice Along the Detroit River”

Join us on February 10, 2024 at the The Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle for this professional learning experience focused on the current intersectional context of climate change, carbon and greenhouse gas emissions, water quality, and climate justice along the Detroit River.
Participants will interact with subject matter experts from UM’s Detroit River Story Lab and then work with colleagues and educators from the UM Marsal School of Education to consider how to integrate this content into their curriculum through the complementary lenses of place-based education and culturally sustaining pedagogies.
