Engagement in Detroit

The University of Michigan engages with Detroit through a variety of collaborative initiatives that foster community development, education, and research. These efforts include partnerships between UM’s schools and colleges with local Detroit organizations, aiming to address urban challenges and promote economic revitalization. UM faculty and students also contribute to Detroit’s resurgence through innovative research, public health initiatives, and cultural projects that support local needs, embodying the university’s commitment to civic engagement and social impact.
